Description
There are several ways to describe the purity grade of ethanol. Absolute alcohol refers to ethanol with a low water content, usually less than 1 %.
Abbreviation: ethanol abs.
Reference: MiPNet09.12 O2k-Titrations
High purity grade ethanol has to be used as a solvent for preparation of SUIT chemicals. In Oroboros-lab we use ethanol 'AR-grade' (analytical reagent grade) with more than 99.8 % ethanol. Certified according to ACS, Ph. Eur., ISO, ASTM D-94
