Curran-Everett D (2020) Adv Physiol Educ
Abstract: The scientific literature is littered with the adjective significant and the descriptive phrase statistically significant. Established members of the statistical community now recommend that a scientific paper simply report an actual P value divorced from any word or phrase that reflects statistical significance (Hurlbert SH, Levine RA, Utts J Am Stat 73, Suppl 1: 352β357, 2019). In this EDITORIAL, I illustrate why this deceptively simple change is important.
