Description
The biochemical coupling efficiency is expressed as the E-L coupling control factor, ΞjE-L=(E-L)/E, which is 0.0 at zero coupling (L=E; LEAK=ETS capacity) and 1.0 at the limit of a fully coupled system (L=0). Compare with the thermodynamic efficiency of coupling between ATP production (DT phosphorylation) and oxygen consumption (ergodynamic efficiency).
