Description
The E-P coupling control factor, ΞjE-P = (E-P)/E, is the apparent ETS excess capacity over P; 0.0 for zero excess capacity when P=E. The OXPHOS state of mt-preparations is stimulated to ETS by uncoupler titration. ΞjE-P is zero when the phosphorylation system does not exert any control over OXPHOS capacity (P=E) and increases with increasing control of the phosphorylation system over OXPHOS capacity in a constant substrate state.
Abbreviation: ΞjE-P, CCFE-P
Reference: Flux control factor
