FEMtech Internship for students
Support for entering a research career
- With the promotion of talent, the Austrian Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology (bmvit) keeps on promoting equal opportunities and supports women in research and technology.
- The project "FEMtech Intership for female students" aims to increase the number of female young scientists in companies and non-university research facilities in the field of science and technology.
- Companies play an important role in the encounter of skilled labor force by offering young women an internship.
- Therefore research-oriented students receive a valuable insight into the relevant professional experience of applied research and are able to establish valuable contacts.
What will be encouraged
- High-quality internships in companies and non-university research institutions in Austria for students of natural sciences/engineering studies.
Who is eligible to apply?
- Company
- Non-university research institutions
- Each with its location in austria
- Each with activities in the range of research and evolution in natural science or ernigneering
- The number of eligible internships per company or research facility is unlimted.
Essential criteria
- Duration of internship between 1 and 6 months
- Scientific / technical internship related to research and development
- Supervision by a qualified person (at least Junior Researcher)
- Student is already known by name when submitting the application
- Das Dienstverhältnis der Praktikantin beginnt frühestens am Tag der Einreichung des Förderungsansuches
- No employment relationship of the trainee with the submitting organization in the last 6 months before the start of the internship
- Employee's employment ratio and gross monthly salary of at least EUR 1,400
- Employment minimum 28.5 week hours
