Description
Oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) is the oxidation of reduced substrates with electron transfer to oxygen, partially coupled to the phosphorylation of ADP to ATP. The OXPHOS state (P) of respiration provides a measure of OXPHOS capacity.
Abbreviation: OXPHOS
