Preparation of resorufin solutions

Source: Sigma 424455

Storage solution

Prepare a 1.2 mM storage solution of resorufin by adding 13.5 mg resorufin in 50 mL of a 10 mM KOH solution and store aliquots of 2 mL of this storage solution at -20 Β°C.

Stock solution

Prior to experiments thaw 2 mL storage solution, pipette 1.666 mL into a 25 mL volumetric flask and add 10 mM KOH to 25 mL to obtain a stock solution of 80 Β΅M resorufin.
